• The Jews sinned in the Promised Land then repented of their sin

• God used Mordecai and Esther to help the Jews escape Haman’s plot
• God protected the Jews
• Be courageous and do what is right

• Nehemiah was sad because Jerusalem was in ruin
• Nehemiah depended on God
• The people of Israel built Jerusalem’s wall while the enemy was near
• Obey God with all your might

• Ezra read God’s Word to the people
• The people were sad because they had disobeyed God’s Word
• The people promised to obey God’s Word
