A Manifesto For Christian Citizenship - Part 4

Preacher: David Forsyth Scripture: Romans 13:1–10

Throughout the Christian centuries theologians have wrestled with the proper relationship between the church and the state. The Christian church has a priceless treasure which it can not share with the state. This treasure enables the church to transform a human life eternally, from the inside out, and suit them to live forever in the presence of God. This treasure is the Gospel. Everything else that the organized church does can be duplicated by the state except this. This sermon will continue to consider Paul's command to submit to our leaders so that we might begin to take our civic responsibilities seriously.
