• Jesus performed a miracle by feeding thousands of people with the two fish and five loaves that a boy gave the disciples
• Jesus’ miracle proved that He is God
• Trust that only through Jesus’ power can you be saved from sin

Jesus Walks On Water

Matthew 14:22–34

• Jesus walked on the water then He commanded Peter to come to Him on the water
• Peter began to sink because he lacked faith
• Trust that Jesus will give salvation to all who believe
• Keep your focus on Jesus

Jesus Defines Discipleship

Matthew 16:13–17, 20–27

• God the Father revealed to Peter that Jesus is “the Christ, the Son of the living God”
• Jesus rebuked Peter because Peter was not trusting God’s plan
• Jesus calls disciples to deny themselves and follow Him
• Rejoice in Christ’s return and reward

Matthew 17:1–8

• The disciples saw the “Son of Man coming in His kingdom” (Matt. 16:28)
• The events at Jesus’ transfiguration proved that He is God
• Listen to Jesus through God’s Word
• Look forward to the coming of the Son of Man
