Ministry Spotlight

Sharon Betsch

Children's Ministry Assistant

S Betsch 2018Sunday morning Training Hour has a team of volunteers who supports Children’s Ministry through a variety of activities during the Training Hour. This month we are pleased to introduce to you another one of these faithful women who has served in this position for the past 10 years. Sharon has also been active in several other ministries since she began attending FBC almost 20 years ago including the Missions Commission, Women’s Bible Study, Cheerful Cooks, as well as childcare for mid-week ministries, and knows that children are a blessing from God. “I enjoy playing with the toddlers and also holding babies in the nursery.”

Now that Sharon is retired from her career in elementary education of 30+ years, she takes every opportunity to spend time with her nieces and nephews who consider her as a grandmother.  She finds great joy being with family as well as being with friends to talk of things of the Lord and His Word.

Currently Sharon is in the Precept Tuesday Morning Bible Study, and the Welday Small Group. Sharon has many favorite Bible verses including these two:

“God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

“One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to meditate in His temple. (Psalm 27:4)
